![]() I researched the situation for several hours before posting here. When USBasp attempts to program the UNO a red led briefly lights on the USBasp, and I see the reset pin voltage drop on my multimeter. I noticed the AVRDUDE errors are exactly the same if the programmer is completely disconnected from the target. ![]() The error is the same if I try the Uno or the ATTiny841. I use these same exact wires for programming with either programmer (USBasp or USBTinyISP) because USBTinyISP works, I don't think it's a connector or wiring issue. ![]() Wiring set-up: 6 female-female jumper wires directly from programmer 10-pin port to the target (6-pin ICSP header on UNO, to breadboard holes for ATTiny841 on solderless breadboard). 1ĭouble check connections and try again, or use -F to overrideĭoes not exist or your board is not connected please check for usbasp firmware update.Īvrdude: error: program enable: target doesn't answer. I purchased a USBasp programmer and tried to use it to program some uCs and got these errors:Īvrdude: warning: cannot set sck period. Programmer is listed as USBasp under Atmel USB Devices. USBAsp, USBAsp ATTin圜ore , USBTinyISP, USBTinyISP ATTin圜ore options from IDE programmer list. USB cable connects to its own port on PC not a hub. ![]() Programmer: USBasp device like this one. but actually purchased here. ![]()
